WHAT'S ON IN 2026

The date is always the last Tuesday of the month 7.15pm for 7.30pm

We meet usually in Room 1 First Floor, Frome Cheese & Grain, Market Yard, Frome BA11 1BE. There is plenty of free parking after 6pm.

On entering the front door, turn left and go up the stairs. There is a lift next to the stairs for those less mobile.

Entry is a modest £4, and we usually hold a small raffle. There is no membership.

All visitors are welcome.

This fresh interpretation of Hannah More uses previously unavailable local sources offering a somewhat different account of her Mendip schools.

JULIE DAVIS – Wiltshire & Swindon History Centre with Dating and Preserving Old Photographs.

Julie will give tips on how to date old photographs and how best to store and care for them to ensure their longevity, looking at real examples to demonstrate the techniques.

GARY KEARLEY – Frome in the Monmouth Rebellion

Hear about Frome’s involvement in Monmouth’s 1685 Rebellion and the fate of the local people who rallied to his cause.
